Select Board · Meeting of September 9, 2026
NH HILLSBOROUGH — Hillsborough Select Board approves office building renovation project. During the September 9 meeting, Chairman Iris Campbell moved to hire JBR Associates to perform $65,000 in safety upgrades at the town office building, selecting the lower of two competitive bids. Both JBR Associates ($65,000) and Maine Highlands Contracting ($124,757) proposals included all requested safety components with no significant differences.
Campbell explained the upgrades are necessary because the Town Clerks' office and other first-floor offices lack a second egress route suitable for all potential incidents. The board also authorized $1.64 million in payroll and accounts payable and hired Zebulon West-Grover for the vacant Parks and Recreation program coordinator position.
