NH HILLSBOROUGH — Hillsborough Select Board orders assessment review after residents report unexplained increases. Selectman Richard Pelletier raised concerns that property assessments jumped up to 2 percent between December and now without explanation, and moved to request the assessor investigate the cause, scope, and prevention measures. The board unanimously approved the request.
Resident Jennifer Schamel reported her property assessment card remained unchanged despite a 2 percent building-value increase on her tax bill, and said multiple residents had raised similar concerns on social media.
