Conservation Commission Charts Wetland Ordinance, Schedules Well Workshop

NH HILLSBOROUGH — Hillsborough Conservation Commission schedules private well workshop for February 19. The joint event with the Department of Environmental Services will be held at the Middle School at 6:00 pm, with DES providing sampling bottles and covering laboratory costs. The commission also discussed developing a town wetlands ordinance prompted by recent Jones Road subdivision concerns, with Chair Richard Head agreeing to bring the matter to the Planning Board.

Vice-Chair James McDonough will approach a property owner about possible conservation of the Bible Hill/Jones Road property. The commission approved its 2025 End of Year Report and tabled a Natural Resources Inventory contract pending receipt of a formal proposal.
