NH HILLSBOROUGH — Hillsborough Economic Development Commission elects officers, hears state resources pitch. The commission unanimously elected Rich Pelletier as chairman, Robyn Payson as secretary, and Dana Clow as vice chairman. Brian Groth, a Business Resource Specialist with the state Department of Business and Economic Affairs, outlined programs supporting business retention and recruitment, including the "Step" grant program (up to $8,000) and the APEX Accelerator program for government contracting.

Commission members discussed improving the economic development website and building broker relationships to attract businesses to the town, while noting several stalled development projects: a proposed laundromat blocked by owner death, a luxury car development declining, and a bar and grill halted by water and sewer fees.
