EDC charts Economic Revitalization Zone implementation with state guidance

Economic Development · Meeting of April 13, 2026

NH HILLSBOROUGH — Hillsborough EDC advances Economic Revitalization Zone planning with state guidance. The Economic Development Commission unanimously approved prior minutes and heard from Mike Tardiff of the Central NH Regional Planning Commission on implementing an Economic Revitalization Zone program offering business tax credits for employers hiring full-time staff and making capital investments. The state program allocates approximately $825,000 annually, typically funded at 40 percent of community requests.

The commission established a November timeline target to convene property owners with the EDC to present the ERZ process, with a goal of locking down the proposal before Select Board review.
