EDC reorganizes officers; hears state business outreach strategies.
misc · Meeting of June 16, 2026
NH HILLSBOROUGH — The Hillsborough Economic Development Commission elected Rich Pelletier as Chairman, Dana Clow as Vice Chairman, and Robyn Payson as Secretary, all unanimously. Brian Groth, Business Resource Specialist with the New Hampshire Department of Business and Economic Affairs, outlined state resources including grant programs of up to eight thousand dollars and APEX Accelerator, a federal program helping companies access government contracts. Groth recommended the town engage commercial brokers, clarify available utilities on its website, and establish a single municipal point of contact for prospective businesses.
Commission Chair Riché Colcombe reported that several projects appear unlikely to proceed, including a laundromat on West Main Street and a bar and grill planned for the former Volvo site due to water and sewer fees, and discussed reviving past initiatives from 2009 to 2017 including the Ambassador Program and a University of New Hampshire Business Retention and Expansion Program.
