NH HILLSBOROUGH — Hillsborough Select Board approves paving contract, learns of CDBG grant loss. The board unanimously approved a $273,612.50 paving contract with Pike Industries for the Beard Road Project, recommended by Road Agent Ernie Butler as the lowest bid among six proposals. The board also unanimously approved a $4,950 survey for a town-owned parcel near Grimes Field to establish additional parking.

Town Administrator Laura Buono reported that a developer at 17 West Main Street forfeited a $500,000 Community Development Block Grant for apartment expansion after conducting unpermitted demolition work; CDBG requirements mandate environmental inspection before construction. Future grant eligibility is uncertain.
