Select Board · Meeting of June 25, 2026
NH HILLSBOROUGH — Select Board approves three-year Deering police contract, ratifying monthly fee at $23,000. Selectman Richard Pelletier sought to delay the vote pending performance review of the arrangement that began in December; the Board voted unanimously to proceed despite his objection. In related business, Selectman Pelletier introduced a revised fee structure for fire services to Windsor using a hybrid of assessed value and population factors, yielding an annual charge of $48,802 for the first 40 responses, a $307 increase over current billing.
The Board directed Selectman Pelletier to submit the proposal to Windsor for review before further negotiation. On recreation, the Board approved an $8,000 annual charge to Deering for use of Hillsborough athletic fields following Deering's decision to end its $25,000 annual subsidy.
