Selectmen approve van purchase and deputy treasurer appointment

NH HILLSBOROUGH — Hillsborough Selectmen approve van purchase and honor Housing Champion award. The board unanimously approved buying a 2016 Ford Transit Wagon for $31,809.00 from Merchants Auto for the recreation department, funded from existing revolving and special projects accounts. James Ainsworth was unanimously appointed Deputy Treasurer for one year.
The town received formal recognition as a Housing Champion Community from the state, opening access to additional grant programs. Water and Sewer Commissioner Dana Clow presented infrastructure repair plans requiring approximately $370,000 in annual capital expenses from 2025 to 2030 to replace deteriorating clay pipe sections on Myrtle and Church streets.
