NH HILLSBOROUGH — Hillsborough Solid Waste Board scheduled a May 11 composting expert meeting. The board confirmed Hazardous Waste Day for May 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Transfer Station. Board member Angie Pulochov reported that New Hampshire's first mattress recycling business has been approved in neighboring Deering, requiring 90 percent material recycling; despite a $40 per mattress fee increase, disposal volumes have not declined.
A new full-time staff member, Rob, will join the Transfer Station at month's end, with the board planning Summerfest activities for July 11.
