Zoning Board continues gas station variance hearing to December
Zoning Board · Meeting of January 13, 2026
NH HILLSBOROUGH — Zoning Board adjourns gas station variance hearing without voting. Applicant Mayank Patel sought relief from the 50-foot front yard setback at 281 Second NH Turnpike to relocate a fuel system constrained by well setback radii and state regulations. Engineer David Frothingham demonstrated to the Board that well locations and setbacks from multiple sources prevent any other placement on the property.
The Board reached consensus that the "unnecessary hardship" criterion had been met but continued the hearing to December 8 pending the Planning Board's review; neighbors raised concerns about well location accuracy on the plan, which Frothingham said he had validated with state agencies.
