EDC receives updates to economic development and housing plans

NH HILLSBOROUGH — Hillsborough Economic Development Commission receives updates on development strategy. The commission met to discuss updates to the town's economic development plan and housing chapter, with Mike Tardiff of the Central NH Regional Planning Commission presenting information on state incentive programs including TIF zones, tax exemptions (RSA 79E and 72:81), and economic redevelopment zones. Commissioners discussed infrastructure constraints and improvements, including sewer capacity and downtown sidewalk conditions.
Town Administrator Laura Buono indicated a Brownfields grant application for the Associated Electric site would be submitted in fall, and the commission discussed forming a trails committee as a Conservation Commission subcommittee.
