Selectboard approves amended highway safety grant for enforcement.
Select Board · Meeting of February 12, 2026
NH HILLSBOROUGH — Hillsborough Select Board approved a $39,538.66 Highway Safety Grant Agreement with $4,000 in additional DUI enforcement funds. In a budget work session, the Board reviewed a 2026 operating budget showing a 3.68 percent increase, which includes an extra payroll week and is offset by a paid-off Fire Department equipment purchase and $150,000 in reduced NH Retirement contributions. Town Administrator Laura Buono recommended increasing the Elderly Exemption thresholds, and the Board discussed whether to fund a $18,000 Granite VNA warrant article request or draw instead from a $13,385 available medical services trust fund that Trustee Riche' Colcombe said is designated for multiple purposes including high school scholarships.
