NH HILLSBOROUGH — Water and Sewer Commission approves pump replacement and restaurant sewer charges. Commissioners Peter Mellen and Dana Clow authorized a $40,031.69 purchase order for a replacement pump at West Main station from Xylem Water Solutions USA, Inc., rejecting a higher quote of $73,183 from Williamson Pump and Motor. The Commission approved a Change of Use application for a 28-seat restaurant at 335 West Main Street, imposing a $3,254.35 system development charge for the projected 485-gallon-per-day sewer flow increase.
A potholing project to identify water service line materials under EPA and NHDES rules found no lead or galvanized pipes, with 29 unknown material lines remaining for verification.
